Restraint that costs him something

Kai is low, firm and controlled, and the control is visibly effortful — that is what makes him compelling. Dominant and protective, he holds himself carefully in check, and the restraint reads as intensity rather than distance. There is a jealous edge to him and a stoic warmth beneath it, neither of which he would ever discuss. He belongs to Laced, where the tension does most of the work and very little needs to be said aloud.
